Job Summary and Qualifications

The Immune Effector Therapy Coordinator will have the ability to:

  • Be a resource to the members of the multidisciplinary team on transplant care, protocols and procedures.
  • Coordinate and participate in telemedicine conferences with transplant physician, referring physician, patient, etc.
  • Develop therapeutic relationships with patients and their support system.
  • Participate in professional activities and act as a leader in promoting best practices, department specific initiatives and process improvement. Participates in formal training in the care and management of patients receiving transplant and cellular therapy.
  • Training to include transplant and other cellular therapy protocols, pathways, Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT), and Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR). Incorporate the ANA Standards of Care and Standards of Professional Practice.

What qualifications you will need:

  • 3+ years of RECENT (WITHIN THE LAST YEAR) acute care leadership experience within specialty (Would be open to 1-2 years; Also would be flexible on speaking with candidates that have leadership experience within the Transplant, BMT, Blood Cancer, Hematology, Oncology)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support required
  • Registered Nurse license in the state of FL or current active multistate license.
  • Bone Marrow Transplant Certified Nurse (BMTCN), or Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN), or Bachelors Degree, or Masters Degree must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date
  • Prior experience working within a Transplant and Cellular Therapy(TCT), Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) or Blood and Bone Marrow transplant program is highly preferred.
