Job Summary and Qualifications
Performs those duties directly involved with the completion of all requested procedures of the CT Department with regards to Quality and Quantity, providing services to all inpatients and outpatients of all age groups. Supervises employee’s duties and their work process daily. Assesses staffing each day using call techs only when needed. Responsible for maintaining all supplies and equipment functioning for departmental operations. Responsible for staff scheduling and departmental coverage in all modalities. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments, and medical staff. Performs in the capacity of staff technologist when necessary. Responsible for staff scheduling and departmental coverage in all modalities
Under direction of the Imaging Manager, Director of Radiology, and the Radiologist, performs administrative and consultative duties. Is responsible for directing departmental activity and technologist staff and supporting ancillary personnel.
Qualifications
- 3 – 5 years of imaging experience required; 5+ years of imaging experience preferred
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT) (R) & (CT) registry preferred
- Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist
- Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology School
